Community Service Event @ Open Door Ministry Food Pantry
With the Trump administration slashing vital federal programs helping connect people with essentials like food, already-struggling food banks are being squeezed and food insecurity is on the rise in our community.
13.8% of Wayne County residents are food insecure, above the state and national averages.
Open Door Ministry Food Pantry and Job Bank is a Gleaner’s partner operating food pantry distributions, actively serving people in need.
Plymouth Community Collective volunteers will help prepare grocery carts in a warehouse, and can also help load groceries into cars. Kids welcome, wear comfortable clothing, and gloves help!

The Plymouth Community Foster Closet provides FREE clothing and essentials to children in the foster care system. PCFC’s goal is to provide the children in our local area with clothing that is similar to the apparel of their peers.
