Organizing people to advance effective policy and support our communities.
Plymouth Community Collective seeks to build an organizing machine, bringing together community members traditionally under-represented in local government, to learn and engage in the political process, and support our neighbors through regular community service and action.
Who we are
This collective is nonpartisan, but unapologetically pro-democracy.
We’re working-age community members carving a space for ourselves amongst social service and political groups traditionally dominated by faith-based organizations, and retirees.
What we do
Policy | Organizing policy advocacy opportunities around people-centered policy initiatives.
Community Service | Providing volunteering opportunities, such as support for food banks, foster closets, and community projects.
Community Action | Providing direct-action opportunities to mobilize people towards immediate needs such as petitions, advocacy with elected officials, and demonstrations protecting our communities.
How we do it
Collective power.
Plymouth Community Collective holds regular planning and informational meetings, and organizes opportunities for members to engage in causes they are passionate about, and around their availability.
